CASE STUDY
The client is an architectural firm based in New York with approximately 12 full-time architects and has been in business for 25 years. They had accumulated a variety of portfolio materials in different format and of different qualities. Under the guidance of ImageLeap, the firm cleaned out the archive, selected over 60 projects and 420 of the best images to illustrate the breath and quality of the buildings and interiors they had created over the years. We scanned the images at high resolution and optimized them electronically, correcting any sign of image deterioration and removing undesired elements that might interfere with the project’s layout. High-res images were delivered on CD disks as a byproduct of the project and are being used for submission to magazines.

We worked with the client to create an effective and efficient method to catalogue projects and related images, to track pertinent details about construction, budgets, measurements, staffing, etc. This has resulted in a complete history of the firm’s work which no longer relies on the memories of a few of the principals, but can be used by anyone who is given access to the database/portfolio program. ImageLeap has also provided a brief instruction manual that allows new staff to quickly become operational on the portfolio program.

On a daily basis the architects, especially those involved in marketing the firm’s services, use the program devised by ImageLeap to create printed materials from their inkjet color printer, on good photographic quality paper: tailored client presentations, company brochures and catalogues, in-depth project analyses, and data-sheets for publication submission.

ImageLeap assists the firm with periodical updates to the portfolio, as projects are completed, providing photography services, imaging, and renderings. We also assist with technical issues, but most of the image input and update is done in-house.
