The core team of Image Leap has worked with photography over many years: advertising, publishing and media, professional photographers, as well as image banks like Art Resource and Corbis.
The digital portfolio offers the following advantages:
- A compact and cost-effective CD-Rom portfolio containing up to 2000 images that can be distributed to art directors and potential clients. The portfolio stays with them for future reference.
- Images can be watermarked to protect your copyright while allowing clients to test your photos in their layouts.
- Print single sheets, booklets, partial or complete catalogues.
- High-resolution versions of each photo are ready for use on publications and catalogues. Lower resolution images can be used for Web pages and other digital media.
- A complete record of each photo, including all technical and location information. Data associated with each image is inserted according to individual needs and specifications. Where needed, photographs can be adjusted and corrected to cancel the effects of time and handling and to obtain a consistent image quality for your entire body of work.
- Easily cross-reference and retrieve originals from their storage locations. Track photo circulation, publications and advertising, image bank loans and usage. Keep a precise record of exhibitions, including catalogue texts and media coverage.
CASE STUDY
Photographer Paolo Destefanis lives in the Tuscan hills and works with publishers and magazines around the world, specializing in travel, food, interiors and lifestyles photography. Circulating a bulky portfolio is very impractical from his location, but essential to obtaining assignments from art directors.
ImageLeap created a CD-Rom portfolio that contains over 80 portfolio images in several categories, as well as "tear sheets" of his published work and a slide-show feature. The portfolio master CD can be easily updated as new work is available. Copies with custom labels and cases are produced at low cost and sent by mail to all the photographer's potential clients. On the back end of the portfolio, which resides on the photographer's computer, a special screen allows him to track details about each photograph including technical data, usage, location, publication details and circulation.
